Jaeson Cardiff

Chief Executive Officer

Jaeson has been involved in the heating industry as a plumber and gas fitter for over 20 years and is passionate about both innovation and heating systems. He has worked on systems dating back to the 1920s and as new as today’s most modern heating systems. Over 15 years ago, he recognized the heating industry needed to do more to reduce and eliminate carbon emissions. He began surrounding himself with incredibly talented people that could help realize his vision of a decarbonized future. Jaeson has led CleanO2 to its current position as an industry leader in innovative carbon capture solutions. Jaeson is a graduate of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and lives in Airdrie, Alberta with his wife and their son.

Brett Naiden

Chief Operating Officer

Brett is a specialist in process design, development, and improvement, known for enhancing operations in both large organizations and small companies. With a knack for mentorship, communication, and team motivation, Brett brings a collaborative spirit to every project.

He engages all levels of an organization to adopt a risk-based approach to operations, compliance, and process improvement, leading to greater efficiency, increased productivity, and the achievement of strategic goals. With over 30 years of experience across diverse industries like manufacturing, banking, energy, and telecom, Brett’s expertise is vast and versatile.

Brett holds an MBA and an undergraduate degree in Economics, complemented by extensive formal training in project management, strategic risk assessment, internal audit, and root cause analysis. His mission is simple: to make things better wherever he goes and in whatever he undertakes.

Kathi Fischer  

Chief Science Officer

Kathi Fischer is a Chemical Technologist and has been with the CleanO2 team since its inception. Her 20 years of experience in both the chemical and heating industry adds a significant level of expertise to the team. Kathi is passionate about both industries and playing a role in helping reduce emissions. Kathi is a graduate from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and lives in Calgary with her husband and two daughters. She spends her free time gardening, camping and enjoying the outdoors. 

Brant McDermott

Director of Sales

Brant is a sales and business development professional and lobbyist with over 20 years of experience in the medical-technologies industry representing some of the most advanced equipment manufacturers in the world. Brant is distinguished by his business passion, his international experience, his ability to forge strategic partnerships, and his commitment to meeting customer and market demands. As a lobbyist, he has engaged all levels of the government to establish P3 partnerships and build relationships between private and community organizations. Brant is passionate about innovation, environmental sustainability, and corporate responsibility.

Yuji Ihara

Project Management - Domestic and Foreign Markets

Yuji has been involved in sales and marketing for many years and works closely with our project partners in Canada, the United States and Japan. Yuji helps both domestic and foreign customers reduce their carbon footprint while helping provide various markets with our award-winning carbon capture products.
